WELLNESS CARE
Our practice focuses on preventative health care. We always recommend annual vaccinations customized to your pet’s exposure risk-factors. We also recommend annual blood testing for heartworm disease and screenings for our “early disease detection base-line values.”
This is why we ask our patients and their owners visit us every six months for pets that are seven and younger and visits every three months for pets that have a chronic medical condition. We also provide Glaucoma testing.
Puppy and Kitten Care
We strongly recommend routine deworming for puppies and kittens and core vaccinations. This starts at 6 weeks of age and every 3 weeks until their immune system is developed at fifteen weeks.
Geriatric Care
Did you know that pets can be considered geriatric at about six years old depending on weight and breed? This is why we suggest annual blood screenings to detect potential diseases. This is a great way to treat potential issues before they progress. We also offer nutritional counseling, arthritic pain treatment and dental care.
Pocket Pets
We offer basic pocket pet exams, husbandry recommendations, nutritional counseling and treatments for hamsters, rats, guinea pics, snakes, reptiles and pet birds.

Parasite/Flea/Tick Prevention
Protection from these tiny and terrible creatures is so important for the safety and health of your pet, as well as the rest of your family! We offer year-round Heartworm prevention for dogs with Heartgard or 6-month ProHeart injections. For cats, we offer the once-a-month dose of Revolution for protection against fleas, heartworm disease, internal parasites and ear mites.
